Sealing and Guiding Elements for Compressors

PTFE as a fluorocarbon compound (polytetra-ethylene) is a suitable basic compound for sealing and guiding elements used in compressors.

  • even without lubrication PTFE offers an exceptionally low friction coefficient when working together with metals
  • PTFE is highly anti-adhesive, no stick-slip effect

Porous PTFE

In-house developments have enabled us to manufacture PTFE in plate, sheet, tube and rod shapes.

PTFE Tubes

PTFE- Sheets and Films

By combining the properties of PTFE and glass cloth, elongation at break, pressure resistance and flexibility could be improved significantly.
The production of PTFE composite compounds enables decisive improvements in terms of PTFE and carrier compound properties. The possibility of combining and mixing PTFE with different materials leads to new approaches in resolving material issues. For example, PTFE can be firmly bonded with metals, glass cloth and similar materials.

Diaphragms

PTFE diaphragms are used in metering devices, the pharmaceutical and food industries, in pumps for the chemical industry and in painting technology. Diaphragms are available made of PTFE, PTFE-elastomer-composites or as multi-layered PTFE-diaphragms.

Bellows
